The project of construction of infrastructure of Turukhtannye Islands Oil Terminal of BFC Group included in the Scheme of land-use planning of RF

The project of construction of the technological infrastructure of Turuлhtannye Islands Oil Terminal of Baltic Fuel Company Group (BFC Group) in the waters of Big Port St. Petersburg has been included in the Sheme of territorial planning of the Russian Federation in the field of federal transport, approved by the Decree of the Russian Government on March 19, 2013 (No 384-p).

Previously, the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia in a letter dated July 30, 2014 had approved the Declaration of Intent to invest in the project, in a letter dated 17 December 2013 had issued a resolution on the land reclamation in the framework of the project, and in its order (Sept. 22, 2014) had approved the project's land planning documents.

In the first half of 2015 the project will pass approval at the Main State Expert Review Board of Russia (Glavgosekspertiza) and is expected to get building permits, which is given by the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport together with permits for the creation of artificial lands.

Currently, the terminal territory encompasses 7.3 hectares including two berths for handling oil products with annual throughput of 500,000 tonnes of products (the 2013 year-end figure).Upon completion of the terminal's overhaul project in 2015-2016 the facility's capacity will reach 1.7 million tonnes of products a year. As from 2017 the terminal's annual throughput will be increased to 2.4 million tonnes, and from 2020 as much as 4-5 million tonnes.

Investment in the project is estimated at $ 110 million.
